LAUN, FLOYD FARMER, DIES-- Funeral Services for Heart Attack Victim Will Be Held Saturday
FLOYD, IOWA - Funeral rites for Alfred E. Laun, 63 year old farmer living 1/2 mile north of here, will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev. Wesley C. Harrop will be in charge.
Mr. Laun died at 9:45 o'clock Wednesday evening following a heart attack which siezed him at 4:30 in the afternoon. The Launs are long time residents of Floyd County.
Surviving are a widow, Sarah White Laun, and one daughter, Alice, a teacher in the Spencer schools. One son, Vernon, died in 1916 at the age of 14.
C. E. Laun, Floyd County treasurer, is a brother of the deceased and Mrs. L. E. Reed, also of Charles City, is one of two sisters. Mrs. Emma Holthaus, Earlville, is the other.
