WILLIAM F. SCHMIDT (23 Sep 1852 - 10 Apr 1931)

CHARLES CITY, IOWA, April 11 - Funeral Services for William Schmidt, 78, will be held Monday at 1:30 o'clock at the Lutheran Church with the Rev. C. G. Prottengeier officiating. Burial will be made in Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Schmidt who died Friday is survived by his widow [the former Matilda Daake of Rockford] and nine children. They are: Mrs. Albert Bork, Nashua; Mrs. Herman Luck, Cedar Rapids; Otto Schmidt, Bassett; Mrs. Ernest Ferch, Colwell; William Schmidt, Jr., Orchard; Emil Schmidt, Nashua; Mrs. Cecil Allison, Ionia; Fred Schmidt, Nashua, and Henry Schmidt, Waverly. They were all present at the time of their father's death.
