WOODS - On Sunday, April 23, 1893, at his home in Pleasant Grove township, Daniel B. Woods, aged 65 years, 1 month and 11 days.
Deceased was born in Hawkins county, Tenn., where he lived with his parents until twelve years of age when with them he emigrated to Missouri. At the age of eighteen he went to Jo Davies County, Illinois, where in 1851 he was married to Maria Crowder, who died Dec. 5, 1889.
In 1855 Mr. and Mrs. Woods immigrated to this a county and settled in Pleasant Grove township, nine miles southwest of this city, from which home he died of typhoid pneumonia.
The children now living are Mesdames W. R. Beck and Oren Brownell, of this city; Geo W., in Portland, Oregon; William H. and Archie D., in South Dakota; Norman C., Mesdames August Kuhnle, Matt Smith, Jessie Reams, Miss Carrie and Ernest, of this county, the last two named being still at home, and Mrs. J. Bhent, of Rockford. Sarah J. died Aug. 26, 1890.
