Charles City, Iowa — Dennis Beaver, 56, of Charles City, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Funeral services for Dennis Beaver will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the church an hour prior to the service.

The Hauser Funeral Home, 641-228-2323, in Charles City, is in charge of arrangements.

Dennis Beaver, 56, of Charles City died Monday, July 15, 2013, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Dennis Lee Beaver was born June 3, 1957, at Charles City, the son of Lester and Peggy (Roy) Beaver. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1975 and attended North Iowa Community College. On Sept. 24, 1988, he was united in marriage to Deborah Loftus at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Dennis worked for Smith Nursery for over 20 years and then operated his own lawn care and tree trimming business.

His love for the outdoors was seen in his interest in nursery work and gardening. He was also very knowledgeable in the history of the various sports. Dennis was also an avid supporter of men’s softball in Charles City. Family and friends were always important to Dennis and he looked forward to sharing life’s experiences with them and helping them in any way he could.

Living family members include his wife Deborah Beaver of Charles City; a son, Jacob Beaver of Charles City; his mother, Peggy Beaver of Charles City; brother, David (Deb) Beaver of Charles City; sister, Connie Beaver of Charles City; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father on June 6, 2008.
