POMEROY RITES HELD IN RUDD

Floyd Woman Had Been in Active Church Work for Many Years.

RUDD, April 4--Funeral services for Mrs. H. A. Pomeroy, who died in Rudd Monday afternoon after six months illness, were conducted at the Methodist Episcopal church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Wtzigman, district superintendent of the Methodist church and the Rev. George W. Turner, local minister officiating.

Mrs. Pomeroy, whose maiden name was Mary Hoel, was born Jan. 23, 1855 in Iroquois county, Illinois. At the age of one and one-half years, she came with her parents to Janesville, where the family resided until 1867, when they moved to a farm one mile north of Rudd.

Mrs. Pomeroy was a charter member of the Methodist church. She had the office of teacher in the Sunday school for many years; was president of the Methodist Ladies Aid society for 20 years, and had held the office of treasurer of the Rudd Cemetery association for the period of 30 years.

She leaves beside her husband, Henry, one sister, Mrs. L. A. Turner of Osage, and one brother, David Hoel of Frazee, Minn. Burial was made at the Evergreen cemetery northwest of Rudd.
