Felix Vispo, Sr, 54, of Charles City, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church in Charles City. The Reverend Carl Ries will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home. There will be a 5 p.m. Rosary with a 7:30 p.m. Prayer Service. Visitation will resume an hour prior to the Mass at the church on Saturday.

Felix Vispo Senior was born January 14, 1959 in Batangas, Philippines, the son of Remegio and Maria Vispo. He graduated from High School in the Philippines, and studied Marine Engineering in college. He served the Philippine Army for 21 years with peace keeping missions to Indonesia and East Timor.

On March 14, 1987 he was united in marriage to Cynthia Cayabyab at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in the Philippines. He worked at Armour in Mason City for ten years. Felix enjoyed cooking, singing, exercising, cleaning, and spending time with his grandchildren, Khaylin and Adrian Anthony. Felix was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Fil-Am Association. He will be remembered for doing anything you asked of him.

Living family members include his wife Cynthia Vispo; children Felix (Sherine) Vispo, Jr. and granddaughter Khaylin, and Marygold (VanAnthony) Miranda and grandson Adrian Anthony Miranda all of Charles City; Those in the Philippines, Jancille (Joel) Maala, and children Nica, Jimuel, Jerwyn; Jericel (Elisa) Vispo, and children Kim Jahred and Kate Vispo; and Jovelle (Elvin) Garing and child Yael Dominic Garing; seven siblings, one in Germany.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sibling.
