Lyle Patrie, 65, of Charles City, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Muse Norris Hospice Impatient Unit in Mason City.

Funeral services for Lyle Patrie will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Kim Thacker of Western Douglas Church of Saint John of Plainfield will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery following the service.

Friends may call an hour prior to the service at the Hauser Funeral Home.

Lyle Lee Patrie was born August 27, 1947 in New Hampton, the son of Joseph Jr. and Geneva (Voshell) Patrie. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1967. He proudly served our country in the Vietnam Conflict. He worked at Oliver/White Farm and Winnebago. On August 15, 2008 he was united in marriage to Donna Stumme at the Western Douglas Church of Saint John in Plainfield. Lyle was a member of the Charles City VFW, American Legion, and Western Douglas Church of Saint John. He enjoyed collecting coins, watching tv, fishing, his rock garden, woodworking (making many toys, cars and tractors), but most of all Lyle enjoyed the time he spent with his family.

Living family members include his wife Donna of Charles City; children Roxane Clay of Alta Vista, Randy (Wendi) Patrie of Charles City; and step daughter Grace Melson of Charles City; grandchildren Brandon, Jeridan, Maisy Parks, Madison Clay, Jesse and Myckaela Alderman; one great grandchild Alivia Parks; a brother, Larry Patrie of Kansas, and his mother Geneva Patrie of Charles City.

Lyle was preceded in death by his father, and his sister, Cheryl Patrie.
