CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Stanley V. Keating, 82, of Charles City, died Thursday, April 1, 1993, at Mercy Hospital, Mason City, of natural causes.

Survivors include his wife, Leone; a daughter, Kay Swenson of Ames; three sons: Col. James of Temecula, California, Richard of Orange, California, and David of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, with burial in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, both in Charles City; friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City, where the family will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m., and at the church from 9 a.m. until services Monday.

Memorials may be directed to the National Parkinson's Foundation Or Heart-to-Home Hospice of Charles City.

Mr. Keating was employed as a professional church fund-raiser until 1972; he had been a member of the Charles City City Council.
