CHARLES CITY, IOWA — Mildred B. COX, 79, of Riverside Chautauqua Guest Home, Charles City, died Friday, April 2, 1993, at the nursing home, of natural causes.
Survivors include five sons: Dick and Bob, both of Cedar Falls, Dave of Winthrop, Dean of Monticello and Don of Marion; a daughter, Joan Cox of Des Moines; and 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; two sisters, Alice Jackson and another in infancy; and a brother, Albert "Jack" Jackson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Charles City, with a 3:30 p.m. burial in Fairview Cemetery, Earlville; visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. today at Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, where Nashua Chapter 248, Order of the Eastern Star, will conduct a 7:30 p.m. service, and for an hour prior to services at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the Earlville Library Fund.
Mrs. Cox was employed as a cook at the Wyoming Presbyterian Church Camp and as a dietary aide at Floyd County Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1978; she was past worthy matron of the Wyoming Chapter of OES.
