GEORGE SEATON OF FLOYD DIED
MAN, 81, RESIDENT OF TOWN SINCE HE WAS 19, TO BE BURIED SATURDAY

Floyd, Jan. 30 – George Seaton, 81, a resident of Floyd since he was 19 years of age, died Tuesday night at his home. He came here originally from New York with his parents.

Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Morris Elfers of Floyd; Mrs. Maude Kennard, with whom he made his home; and a son, Fred at Cedar Falls. A brother, who is 87, lived in Kansas City.

Funeral services will be held Saturday with the Rev. Mr. Christensen of the M.E. Church in charge.

George Ferguson Seaton was born January 21, 1854 in New York, the son of Andrew Pennell Seaton and Laura Ann (Ferguson) Seaton.

He married Clara Fannie Buckley, the daughter of John W Buckley and Azuba (Holbrook) Buckley. Her mother, Azuba’s 2nd husband was Jesse Edwards.
