FLOYD, IOWA — Dale "Dude" Clapp, 70, of Ely, and formerly of Floyd, died Monday, December 31, 1990, of cancer, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; a son, Richard, of Petaluma, California; two daughters, Karma Young and Susan Panas, both of Santa Rosa, California; two grandchildren; and four sisters: Neva Bachne, Lois Cross and Florene Johnson, all of Charles City, and Georgia Luster of Moline, Illinois; and a brother, Neil, of Cedar Falls.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, with military honors by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Friends may call after 7:30 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Clapp served in Germany with the U.S. Army during World War II.
