Nora Springs, Iowa — Craig W. Fingalsen, 50, of Nora Springs, died Monday, March 25, 2013, in Laredo, Texas.

A memorial service for Craig will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 5, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 101 N. Hawkeye Avenue, Nora Springs with the Reverend Joel Dahlen officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the memorial service on Friday at the church.

Should friends desire, condolences and memorials may be left in Craig’s name in care of Todd Fingalsen, 403 Third St. N.E., Nora Springs, Iowa 50458.

Craig W. Fingalsen, son of Gary and Jaqueline Swanson Fingalsen, was born December 12, 1962, in Mason City. He graduated from Nora Springs High School in 1981 and enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.

Craig worked for many years as a semi-truck driver and was working for Hueneman Farms at the time of his death.

Craig’s pride and joy was his daughter, Keely. From the time she was born he called her “Schatzi” which means sweetheart in German. Craig enjoyed playing cards, in particular, he loved a good game of Cribbage. He enjoyed golfing in the summer months with “Schatzi” and in years past enjoyed snowmobiling. Craig lived and laughed hard. His infectious smile will be missed deeply by all of his family and friends.

He will be missed by his daughter, Keely Fingalsen of Rock Falls; siblings, Randy (Linda) Fingalsen of Downington, Pa., Todd (Susan) Fingalsen of Nora Springs, Melissa (Mark) Johnson of Grinnell, and Bob (Monica) Klinke of Oak Park, Ill.; stepmother, Lois (Ron) Juenger of Carpenter, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
