Nora Springs, Buried;
Rites Held in Church

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - Jan. 12. Funeral services for Mrs. Ed Billings, 56, were held Thursday afternoon in the Methodist church with the Rev. J. E. De Long in charge. Burial was in Park Cemetery. Mrs. Billings had been seriously ill for months and in November was taken to the University Hospital at Iowa City and was there at the time of her death Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. Billings was born at Rock Grove, December 30, 1878. She was a twin but her brother died in infancy.

Her early life was spent at Rock Grove. On August 21, 1894, she was married to Ed Billings. With the exception of six years spent in South Dakota, she lived in or near Nora Springs all her life.

Surviving are her husband and five children: Mrs. Ed Schuster of Rockford; Cecil A. of Flint, Michigan; Kenneth E. of Spencer; Gladys of Marshalltown, and Pearl Lampman of Rockford, Illinois. The latter has been at home here the past three months. One sister also survived, Mrs. Louis Wright of La Porte City.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors more than 22 years. She was also a member of the Legion auxiliary.
