Bertha Marie (Krogmann) Hicks – August 3, 1886 – October 28, 1962

MRS. MYRL HICKS SERVICES HELD IN CHARLES CITY

Charles City – Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church for Mrs. Myrl (Bertha Marie) Hicks, 786,. A resident here since April 1918, she died Sunday at the Cedar Valley Hospital. Death was attributed to cancer. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery with the Grossman-Hage Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Hicks was born in West Union, August 3, 1886, the daughter of William and Marie Thies Krogmann. On July 20, 1916, she was married to Myrl Hicks in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a member os st. John Lutheran Church, the Rebecca Circle of the Lutheran Church women and a member of the Order of Eastern Star

Survivors include her husband; a son Kenneth Hicks, rural Charles City; a daughter; Mrs. Harlan Behnke, Charles City; four grandchildren, and a sister; Mrs. Emma Zimmerman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
