Mrs. Minnie L Ritter, 76, passed away last Monday evening at the DeBuhr Nursing home at Charles City where she had been a patient since February 1st.

Mrs. Ritter formerly lived in Marble Rock, having moved to Charles City in 1929. She had been a practical nurse for 40 years, retiring four years ago when her health began to fail. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Viola Rhodes, and a son, Lloyd Benson, both of Charles City. There are three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, William Jenkins of Fort Dodge.

Mrs. Ritter was born in Wales and was brought to this country when 16 weeks old by her parents, Richard and Elizabeth Jones Jenkins. She was married to Bert Benson in 1889 and he passed away in 1913. She was married to James Ritter in 1921 and he preceded her in death in 1956.

Funeral services were held on Thursday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Rev. RN Benedict, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in the West Side cemetery in Marble Rock
