Arthur Reams, 62, formerly of Marble Rock, passed away at 3:00am Sunday at his home here. Mr. Reams had been in poor health for some time and the last week was not as well as usual.

Funeral services are being held today at 1:30 p.m., at the Weaver Funeral Home here and at the Baptist church in Marble Rock at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Vern Prugh, pastor of the church.

Assisting will be Rev. Charles Fox of Wild Rose, Wisconsin, a former pastor of the church.

Soloist is Mrs. Leo Stroud & she will be accompanied by Mrs. Walter Marsh. Mrs. Gerald Adams, Mrs. Carl Friedirchs and Mrs. Forrest Hann are in charge of the flowers.

Burial will be in Riverside cemetery here.

Mr. Reams was born in the Marble Rock vicinity, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Reams, and his entire life was spent in this area.

Upon his marriage to Josie Ritter on September 23, 1914, the couple lived on the Sim Nixt farm, from there moving to the Gates farm, east of Marble Rock where they lived for 13 years.

Due to failing health, Mr. and Mrs. Reams constructed a home in Rockford, to which they moved a year ago this past April.

Surviving is his wife a son, James, of near Charles City; three daughter, Mrs. Malcolm Ott and Mrs. William Ernst of Marble Rock and Mrs. Lester McRoberts of Rockford; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, Archie of Minnesota and Clifford of Wisconsin; and three sisters, Mrs. Guy Wagner of Clear Lake, Mrs. G.E. Cress of Colorado, and Mrs. Bertha Belcher of Washington.
