SANFORD MOORE RITES CONDUCTED IN ROCKFORD

Rockford, July 26 – Funeral services for Sanford Moore, 83, were held at the Moore home north of town Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. The Rev. E. A. Sabin, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, was in charge of the service and burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Moore, who died at his home Sunday evening following an illness of long duration was born on a farm at Cumberland, Ohio, May 8, 1851. He remained with his parents until he was 21 and at that time came to Osage and went into business with his uncle.

A few years later he moved to Egan, South Dakota, where he entered business for himself and where for a number of years he served as postmaster. In 1883 Mr. Moore was united in marriage to Ada E. Cleary of Cumberland, Ohio. In 1896 the family moved to Clear Lake then came to Rockford.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters; Mrs. Edna Walker, Minot, North Dakota; Mrs. Gertrude Biddick, Rockford; Miss Hazel Moore, Los Angeles, California; and one son; Albert T. Moore of Nora Springs; four brothers and four grandchildren.
