SERVICES FRIDAY FOR JAY HILLMAN, 82, OF ROCKFORD

Rockford – Funeral services for Jay M. Hillman, 82, will be Friday at the Rockford Methodist Church, the Rev. George Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Rockford. The Weaver Funeral Home is in charge.

Hillman, who died at mercy Hospital in Mason City Wednesday, is a retired farmer. He was born on a farm near Rockford on November 2, 1879, and lived in the Rockford area all his life. He married Minnie Woelfer on June 17, 1903.

Surviving Hillman are his wife; a daughter, Gladys, at home; a son, Merlin, of Des Moines, and one grandson.

Jay McCord Hillman was born in Ulster Township, Floyd County, Iowa, the son of George Hillman and Lydia (Barnard) Hillman.

He married Minnie Clara Woelfer, the daughter of Carl and Minna Maria (Sann) Woelfer.
