Obituary: Marian Hatch, Caroline's daughter, continued to live in Rockford, Iowa until her death on 27 January, 1929.

According to her obituary in the Rockford paper, Marian was born in East Pembroke, New York on 17 February 1854 and was married on 4 July 1871 to J. W. Hatch.

They had two daughters, Clara and Dora.

Marian was survived by her daughter, Dora E. Brittan of Rockford, by two grandsons, Marion Sherwood of Ogden, Utah and James Webb Sherwood, a student in Connecticut, and by their father, Webb Sherwood of Great Falls, Montana.

She was preceded in death several years ago by her daughter, Clara C. Sherwood. She was buried on 30 January 1929 at the Rockford Cemetery. Services were held by the Methodist minister. She had been ill for a week and died from pneumonia.

Marian Wiley was born February 17, 1854 in New York, the daughter of James Cummings Wiley and Cora (Cole) Wiley.

She married John Walden Hatch, the son of Henry and Caroline Hatch. It looks like they were divorced or split up before the 1880 Census because Marian and the two girls Clara C and Dora are living in Nashua, Chickasaw, and John isn’t there.

By 1900 Marian is living with her mother Caroline Wiley and is listed as divorced.
