Alfred Scheidecker – August 16, 1921 --- February 22, 1972

ALFRED SCHEIDECKER DIED AT 50

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday from the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City for Alfred Scheidecker, 50, a lifelong resident of Fremont Township in Butler County, southwest of Nashua.

Alfred died the preceding Tuesday at a Rochester, Minnesota hospital, where he had been for two weeks. Previously, he had been in the Charles City Hospital about three weeks.

He was a member of the Plymouth Brethren Church at Clarksville. Services were conducted by Joseph Butler, pastor of that church. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Nashua.

Vocal Music was provided by Paul Hunt and Marvin Imig, Sr., accompanied by Mrs. Arthur Jorgensen. Casket bearers were six nephews; Marvin Imig, Jr., and five Scharhorsts; William H., Robert, Jim, John and Ralph.

Alfred Scheidecker was born August 16, 1921, in Fremont Township, the son of William and Martha (Felten) Scheidecker. He attended rural schools in that area.

With the exception of three years’ time spent with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific Theater, Mr. Scheideckekr’s life was spent on the farm in Butler County. He never married and worked the farm with his brother, Harvey, and his sister, Louise.

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by three brothers; William, Harvey, and Paul, all of Clarksville, and three sisters; Dorothy (Mrs. James Hunt) of Anoka, Minnesota; Martha (Mrs. Marvin Imig) of Wasau, Wisconsin; and Louise of Clarksville; also 18 nieces and nephews.
