Myrtle Mae (Hall) Kuhlemeier – December 3, 1916 – August 27, 2006

ROCKWELL - Myrtle Mae Kuhlemeier, 89, of the Rockwell Community Nursing Home, formerly of rural Clear Lake, died Sunday (Aug. 27, 2006) at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home in Rockwell.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., with the Rev. Kathy Graves officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel.

Myrtle Mae Kuhlemeier was born at home on Dec. 3, 1916, in Rockford, to John and Tillie (Warren) Hall. She attended country school and graduated from Rockford High School in 1934.

On Aug. 14, 1935, Myrtle was united in marriage to Earl Edward Kuhlemeier in Charles City. They farmed in the Rudd area and moved to Mason City in 1943. In 1952, they moved to a farm near Clear Lake. Myrtle retired from Jacob E.Decker & Sons.

After Earl's death in 1973, Myrtle would spend the winters in Texas. She was very social, always helping her relatives and friends. She loved to travel, dance and garden.

Myrtle is survived by three sons, Charles (Kay) Kuhlemeier, of Clear Lake, Dayle (Janet) Kuhlemeier, of Rockwell, and Ronald Kuhlemeier, of Clear Lake; three daughters, Carol (Mel) Peterson, of Mason City, Marlys (Paul) Pitzenberger, of Rockwell, and Betty Peralta of Clear Lake. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Lorraine Hall, of Nora Springs; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Tillie Hall; husband, Earl; brothers, Glenn, Roger, Gilbert, and Earl Hall; and sister, Iola Greenzweig.
