Lyrle L. (Baker) Straube – December 6, 1899 – April 7, 1989

Lyrle L. Baker Straube was born Dec 6, 1899, in Nora Springs, a daughter of Walter S. & Maude (Shimer) Baker.

She married Arthur Straube June 5, 1918. They farmed in the Nora Springs area for 30 years. After the death of her husband in May 1948, she moved to Mason City. She lived in Mason City until 1984 when she moved back to Nora Springs.
She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs Lyle (Doris) Hillmer, Mason City; two sons, Robert, of Rudd, and Glen of Mason City; 13 grandchildren and 25 great children; three sisters, Blanche Combs, Glendale, CA and Darlene Renner and Mary Bloomingdale both of Mason City; and one brother Walter Baker of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, one grandchild, two brothers and two sisters.

Burial was in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs
