Arthur Raymond Willert – August 11, 1914 – August 1, 1945

DEATH TAKES A. R. WILLERT

Arthur Raymond Willert, who would have been 31 years of age August 11, died at the Cedar Valley hospital at eight o’clock last evening. He was taken seriously ill about two weeks ago and was taken to the hospital Saturday morning, July 28.

Deceased, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Willert Jr., of Rockford, was born at Rockford, August 11, 1914. He was united in marriage on March 10, 1938, with Gladys Nott at Marble Rock and after making their home with Mr. Willert’s parents for a year, moved to a farm south of Charles City and later to a farm north of Charles City where he resided at the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife Mrs. Arthur Willert of Charles City, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Willert of Rockford, and one brother, Ralph of Rockford. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert, who passed away March 31, 1927.

Funeral arrangements are in charge of Grossmann’s with services at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Charles City, Saturday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. W. G. Pfeiffer, Rockford officiating in the absence of the pastor, the Rev. Walter N. Fritschel.

Interment will be made in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
