Helmer Janson Helmers – March 13, 1900 – October 2, 1936

BRAIN DISEASE VICTIM IS BURIED AT ROCKFORD

Rockford – Funeral services for Helmer Helmers, 36, who died at the Cedar Valley Hospital at Charles City Friday, were held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon.

Mr. Helmer’s death was caused from an acute brain disease from which he suffered only 36 hours.

He is survived by his wife and daughter, Jean Marie, 4; his parents; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Helmers, Nora springs; four brothers; Ralph and Henry of Rudd; Edwin of Charles City; and John of Algona; three sisters; Mrs. Brace Blunt of Nora Springs; Mrs. Edna Kobernus of New Richland, Minnesota; and Mrs. Harkie Boelman of Crystal Lake. The Rev. C. G. Fort was in charge of the funeral.
