ELIAS PARCHER DIES AT MARBLE ROCK SATURDAY
STRICKEN BY HEART ATTACK WHILE DOING CHORES – FUNERAL HELD MONDAY

The community was saddened Saturday by the sudden death of Elias Parcher who suffered a heart attack while feeding the cattle. He was found by a neighbor shortly after.

The funeral services were held at the late home Monday afternoon with Rev. Sheldon of the M. E. Church officiating. Interment was in the West Side Cemetery.

Beside his widow he leaves two sons; Lloyd and Phillip; and one daughter; Mrs. Nina Palmer, all of Marble Rock. One daughter passed away about two years ago.

Elias James Parcher was born October 1, 1877 in Floyd County, Iowa, the son of James Parcher and Rose (Hillman) Parcher.

He married Mary Mosher, the daughter of Almon and Mary Jane (Downing) Mosher.
