Byron Jackson Bare was born on October 20, 1964 in Cadillac, Michigan, and died at the age of 27 years, on September 20, 1991 as the result of a car accident only a few hundred yards from his home.

The second don of Lloyd and Kathy Alley Bare, he grew up and graduated from high school in Rockford, Iowa.

He attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City for one year and graduated from Iowa State in Ames with a degree in Fish and Wildlife biology in December, 1989. He worked for fisheries and Hatcheries in Grace and Clarkfork Idaho, where he met Kaelene Mitchell.

They were married in Clarkfork in October 1990, and then moved to his new position as Fish Culturalist at the Hatchery in Riggins, Idaho.

He leaves behind his wife, Kaelene and their unborn child, his parents, Lloyd and Kathy, two brothers, Dave and wife Carolyn of Ames, and John and wife Stephanie of Newton. His grandparents, Jack and Cynthia Bare and Don and Maxine Alley, all of Pleasantville. Two nephews, Lloyd and Travis, and his great-grandmother, Grace Hunt of Des Moines.

Services were held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Pleasantville on Friday, September 27, with Pastor G. Yetter officiating. Interment was in the Pleasantville cemetery, Pleasantville, Iowa.

Services for Byron Bare, 26, of Riggins, Idaho, who passed away as a result of a car accident on September 20, 1991, were held September 27 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Pleasantville.

Interment was in the Pleasantville Cemetery. Rev. George Yetter officiated at the service. Music was provided by organist Martha Prichard and soloist Leland Thornburgh. Pallbearers were John Bare, David Bare, Bob Mix, Ben Harvey, Lane Jarvis and Fred VanRyswyk.

Bryon was born on October 20, 1964 in Cadillac, Michigan. He was the second of three boys born to Lloyd and Kathy Bare. Bryon grew up in and attended schools in Rockford. He attended college for one year at the University of Iowa before transferring to Iowa State University where he received his degree in fish and wildlife biology in 1989.

After graduation he worked for fisheries and hatcheries in Grace, Idaho and Clark Fork, Idaho. It was in Clark Fork that he met his future wife KaeLene Mitchell. They were united in marriage in October of 1990. Bryon then moved into a position as fish culturist at the hatchery in Riggins.

He is survived by his wife, KaeLene and their unborn child; his parents, Lloyd and Kathy of Pleasantville; his brothers Dave and John and their wives, Carolyn and Stephanie; two nephews, Lloyd and Travis; his grandparents, Jack and Cynthia Bare and Don and Maxine Alley; his great- grandmother, Grace Hunt and many relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Fish and Game Division.
