Augusta Mae (Hawn) Losee – October 1, 1873 – June 2, 1948

MRS. J. LOSEE DIED AT HOME IN MARBLE ROCK
FUNERAL SERVICES HELD AT LUTHERAN CHURCH OF MARBLE ROCK

Mrs. J. B. Losee died at her home in Marble Rock Wednesday afternoon, June 2 at the age of 74 years. Her health had been poor for several years.

Augusta Mae Losee was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaFayette Hawn in New York City on October 1, 1873. She was married to J. B. Losee September 9, 1891. They lived in and around Marble Rock for many years.

Survivors are her husband, one son, Vern of Marble Rock; two daughters; Mrs. Eva Maxson of Charles City and Mrs. Bessie Winfield of Dougherty; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church of Marble Rock Friday afternoon with Rev. I. J. Deines officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery at Marble Rock.
