Katherine (Vetter) Bluhm Herber – April 22, 1879 – Mya 18, 1949

Charles City – Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church for Mrs. Frank J. Herber, who died Wednesday of a heart attack at her home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Mrs. Herber had been a heart patient for the last three years.

She was born April 22, 1879 in Germany, and came to the United States with her parents at the age of four. The family settled in Butler County and moved to the Charles City area 46 years ago. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church for 46 years.

She married to William Bluhm, April 2, 1903. Mr. Bluhm died December 31, 1915.
She was married to Frank Herber January 9, 1919.

She leaves her husband, two sons; Edward Bluhm, Charles City; and Glenn Bluhm, New Orleans, Louisiana; four brothers; John and Emil Vetter, Nashua; and Fred and Walter Vetter, Charles City; one grandchild.

Her parents, one sister, one brother and a daughter preceded her in death.
