Laura N. Seaman, 83, of Nora Springs, Iowa, died Tuesday at Muse Norris Hospice in Mason City.

Funeral services were held Friday at Sheckler Colonial Chapel in Nora Springs, with Rev. C. Clarkson of St. Luke Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.

Laura N. Seaman was born on February 7, 1909, in Lake Mills, Iowa, the daughter of Ole and Anna (Sandvig) Everson. She married Robert Milton Seaman on September 11, 1941, in Lake Mills.

She great up in Lake Mills and attended Lake Mills High School. She graduated from Iowa State Teaching School and taught in rural schools around Mason City. She loved fishing, gardening, painting and flowers.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, and was a lifetime member of the Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include one daughter, LeaAnn Stoltenberg of Nora Springs; one sisters, Evelyn Rumbly of Manly; two grandchildren, Terry Ostrander of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Tracy Ostrander of Troup, Texas; and three great-grandchildren: Christopher, Tina and Dillon Ostrander.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and several brothers and sisters.
