Graveside services were held on Monday, January 27, 1992, in Riverside Cemetery at Rockford, Iowa, for Evelyn E. Steuben. Rev. Shirley Meendering of United Methodist Church, Rockford, officiated.

Evelyn E. Steuben, 80, of Rockford, Illinois, died Saturday, January 25, 1992, in Swedish American Hospital.

She was born on February 20, 1911, in Rudd, Iowa, the daughter of Baron D. and Lydia Charlotte (Kober) Steuben.

She was a graduate of Iowa State University and was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She had been employed by Sundstrand Corporation as an inspector.

Survivors include her sister, Leone (San) Rhoads-Hall, Rockford, Illinois, and a brother, William F. Steuben of Rockford, Iowa; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents.
