SADLER, Eldon R.
Former Rockford, Iowa, resident, Eldon R. Sadler, 59, of Quincy, Illinois, died on December 25, 1991, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. The cause of death was attributed to cancer.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 28, 1991, at Zehender-Robinson-Stormen Funeral Home in Quincy, Illinois, with burial at Green Mountain Cemetery, in Quincy.
Eldon R. Sadler was born on February 11, 1932, in Floyd County, Iowa. He was the son of John and Florence Sadler. He married Sharon L. Reetz in March of 1952 at Nashua. Three children were born of this union. Sharon died in February, 1965.
Eldon served with the U.S. Army in Korea and worked for several years at the Rockford Brick and Tile Company. He was presently employed with Quincy Compressor.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Robert Franzen, Charles City; a son, Steve Sadler of Charles City; and a son Douglas Sadler of West Palm Beach, Florida; five grandchildren: Dorinda Franzen, Bobbi Jo Franzen, and Douglas Franzen all of Charles City; Tiffany Lardino and Nicholas Lardino of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers: Earl Sadler of Mason City, Dale Sadler of Rockford, and Loren Sadler of Clear Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sadler and Florence Sadler Hubbard, and his wife, Sharon.
