Anthony "Bud" Rottinghaus, 68, of Ionia, died Saturday, May 16, 1992, in a farm accident.
A funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Charles City. Rev. E. Petty officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. There was a flag presentation at the graveside by the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the World War I Veterans, and the Vietnam Veterans.
Anthony Rottinghaus was born on October 7, 1923, at Seneca Kansas.
Survivors include five sons: Frank, Paul and Vincent, all of Charles City, Clair and Tony, both of Ionia; four daughters, Susie Rowen of Eldora, Mickey Cassidy of Center Point, Rita Hart of Wheatland, and Cathy Addington of Cedar Falls; three brothers: Raymond of Mason City, Joseph of Clear Lake, and James of Des Moines; five sisters: Winnifred Merfeld of Charles City, Mary Catherine Clark of Decatur, Illinois, Sister Mary Michael Rottinghaus of Algona, Sister Mary Anthony Rottinghaus of South St. Paul, Minnesota, and Sister Mary Rosanne Rottinghaus of Osage; and 20 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and by a brother.
