Emma Catherine Dorothy (Pelzer) Pippert – December 25, 1873 – July 11, 1961

RITES SET AT MASON CITY FOR EMMA PIPPERT

Nora Springs – Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Alliance Church, Mason City, for Mrs. Charles (Emma) Pippert, 87, a former resident of Nora Springs. She had lived at 111 7th St. NE, Mason City, the last 17 years. She died Tuesday at the home of her daughter; Mrs. Arthur Core, Dayton, Ohio, where she had spent the last three months.

The Rev. C. D. Tieszen will officiate. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs, with Sheckler Funeral Home in charge.

Emma Pelzer, daughter of Henry and Sophie Wollenhaus Pelzer, was born December 25, 1873 at Griswold, Iowa. She was married June 4, 1896, at Griswold. The couple farmed west of Nora Springs until his death in 1942.

Surviving are six sons; Harry, Calvin, Earl, and Arlyn, all of Mason City; Jesse, Osage; Leslie, Nyack, New York; and a daughter; Mrs. Arthur (Ruth) Core, Dayton; three sisters; Mrs. Mary Schuler, Griswold; Mrs. Laura Holck, San Antonio; Nell Birch, Long Beach, California.
