ARHART SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED SUNDAY IN MARBLE ROCK HOME

Marble Rock, March 24 – Funeral services for Charles Arhart, Jr., who dropped dead while at the farm of his brother-in-law, Joe Ackley Tuesday afternoon will be held at the home Sunday afternoon and will be in charge of the Rev. Mr. Hess of Charles City.

Mr. Arhart’s father, Herman Arhart, accompanied by Walter Griswold, the husband of his granddaughter, Ruth Volker Briswold, will arrive here Sunday forenoon.

Mr. Arhart is survived by his widow, two sons, Wayne, who is married and Elston at home; his father, Herman Arhart; a sister; Mrs. Will Packman of California and a brother, Fred, of Marble Rock.
His mother and sister, Mrs. Joe Ackley, preceded him in death.

MARBLE ROCK RESIDENT BURIES; MANY ATEND RITES IN ARHART HOME

Marble Rock, March 26 – Funeral services for Charles Arhart Jr., 53, were held at the home Friday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Mr. Hess of Charles City and the Rev. Mr. Coover of Marble Rock.

Those from a distance who were present were his father and sister; Herman Arhart and Mrs. Will Packman of Long Beach, California; Will Arhart; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sheffield; Mrs. Sam Sheffield, of Alpena, South Dakota; Mrs. Mary Specht of Lamont; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ernst and family; Mr. and Mrs. August Ernst and family; Mrs. And Mrs. Arthur Ebert; Mr. and Mrs. Rob Miller; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dinkle; Miss Hilda Dinkle of Charles City; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Asper of Manly; Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln French of Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Stock and son of Morrison, Iowa.

Charles married Nellie Ann Ackley

They are buried in Westside Cemetery, Floyd Co., Iowa
