Funeral services were held for Opal Joyce Ladwig, last Thursday, January 30, 1992 at the Larkin-Martin Funeral Home at New Hampton, with burial in the New Hampton Cemetery. Rev. R. Howland officiated at the service.

Opal Joyce (Jeffries) Ladwig was born on October 23, 1923 at Osage, Iowa, a daughter of Pete and Minnie Jeffries. She attended school at Nora Springs.

She was married to Kleo Ladwig on May 19, 1942, at Bethlehem, Missouri. She is a long time member of the Royal Neighbors.

Survivors include her husband, Kleo, Evansdale; one brother, Kirk Jeffries of Waterloo; three sisters, Zella Welsh of Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin, Una Meeker of Mason City, and Marcella Percy of Nora Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
