Dan L. LaCsote, 39, of Des Moines, Iowa, and formerly of Floyd, Iowa, died on Tuesday, October 13, 1992, in Independence, Iowa, after injuries received in a car accident.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Sheckler Colonial Chapel, Nora Springs, Iowa, with the Rev. D. Grimm of Floyd Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd.

Dan was born on May 22, 1953, in Charles City, Iowa, the son of Eugene and Blanche (Robertson) LaCoste. He grew up in Floyd and attended Charles City High School. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor of arts degree. he worked for Rockwell International, Cedar Rapids, and Employers Mutual, Des Moines, as a computer programmer. He enjoyed playing the guitar and he played in the band Silver Linings. he was a member of Floyd United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his father, Eugene LaCoste, Floyd; one brother, Ronald LaCoste, Center Junction; his grandmother, Eslie Robertson**, Nora Springs; two aunts, Mabel McManus and Florence Kelly, both of Nora Springs; and several cousins.
