Dona J. (Moore) Iversen, 52, of Rockford, Iowa, passed away September 19, 1992 at Mason City, Iowa, after a long bout with cancer.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 24, 1992 at Zion Lutheran Church in Rockford, with burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Albert Lea, Minnesota. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the Schumburg Funeral Home in Rockford.

Donna was born on July 24, 1940 near Sheffield, Iowa, the daughter of Lowell H. and Eva B. (Deshler) Moore.

She was raised in the Marble Rock, Rockford area, and graduated from the Rockford High School in 1958. She was employed at the Elms Cafe which her parents owned and operated and at the Ruchdashel Cafe, both of which were in Rockford.

After graduation from school. she attended the LaJames Beauty School in Mason City. After spending a time as a nanny to a family of three in Spokane, Washington, Donna returned to Iowa and took employment with the Bremwood Resident Treatment Center at Waverly. While there she met Jerry D. Iverson. They were married on January 8, 1967, at the United Methodist Church in Rockford.

In 1972 Donna and Jerry moved back to Rockford and purchased her parents' home, where they lived until Donna's death.

Part of the reason for their return to Rockford was the ill health of Donna's parents. After their return to the area, Donna worked as a homemaker, a cake decorator, and a baby sitter. She was an avid fisherman and active with arts and crafts.

Donna was particularly interested in seeing that young children of pre-school age had good care while their parents were at their jobs. Donna took great pride in her child-care calling, and tried to provide memorable experience for the youngsters in her care.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Eva.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Rockford; two sisters, Peggy A. Curran of Nora Springs, and Mrs. Joan Shaevley of Coon Valley, Wisconsin; and many aunts, uncles nieces and nephews.
