Myrtle B. Jensen, 94, died on Friday, November 27, 1992, at the Good Sheperd Nursing Home in Mason City.

Funeral services were held on Sunday in the Wayside Chapel at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. J. Oakland officiating. Burial was on Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Myrtle Jensen was born on June 4, 1898, at Cartersville, Iowa, to Frank and Florence (Cain) Smith. She graduated from Rockford High School and then attended Cornell College, Mount Vernon, Iowa, and Cedar Rapids Business College. She worked for the First State Bank, Rockford, after college, then for her father at the Farmers Exchange Company. She later accepted a position with the Rockford Brick and Tile Company as a bookkeeper-accountant.

She married Clarence R. Jensen on June 4, 1950, at Rockford. She helped her husband in the State Farm Insurance business for several years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, and White Shrine No. 6.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews, Carol and Wayne Parcher, Roberta Inman, June and Ivan Lokenvitz, Harley and Betty Frankenfield; several great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence J. Jensen; two brothers, Charles and Marion, and five sisters: Lenora, Alice, Rosa, Nellie and May.
