Mrs. Edward (Elsie) Folkerts, 83, of Rudd, Iowa, died on Sunday, June 14, 1992, at the Muse Norris Hospice Unit in Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Rudd United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Melvin Reth officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd.

Elsie Merle Hurd Folkerts was born on September 22, 1908, in Butler County, Iowa.

Survivors include one son, Dale Folkerts, Rudd; two daughters, Evelyn Nelsen of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sharon Parriott of Spirit Lake; one sister, Myrtle Enabnit, Nora Springs; and nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, and four brothers.
