Christopher D. Bahnsen, age 9, of Nora Springs, Iowa, died on Thursday, September 3, 1992, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mason City, Iowa, with the Rev. Carl Ries officiating.

Burial was in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.

Christopher was born on March 31, 1983, at Mason City, a son of Christopher and Bonnie (Rothamel) Bahnsen. Christopher attended the fourth grade at Newman Catholic Elementary School, Mason City. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mason City.

Survivors include his parents, Christopher and Bonnie Bahnsen, Nora Springs; a sister, Stephanie Bahnsen, Nora Springs; maternal grandparents, Peter and Beulah Rothamel, Mason City; paternal grandparents, James and Marjorie Bahnsen, Mason City; and a paternal great-grandmother, Kathryn Weiner, Rockwell.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Vera Bahnsen and Frank Weiner, St.; a sister, Laurie Bahnsen; and a cousin, Joshua Krejci.
