Morris M. Arndt, age 56, of Route 2, Mason City, died Thursday, July 23, 1992 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Monday at Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, Mason City, with Rev. F. Wood of Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs, Iowa.

Morris M. Arndt was born on February 21, 1926, at Mason City, a son of Ted Sr. and Maregaret (Nelson) Arndt. He attended Nora Springs school. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mason City.

He worked at the former Ideal Sand and Gravel Company, Mason City, for over 17 years. Later he was employed at the former Northwestern States Portland Cement Company for 22 years. His hobbies included cooking and gardening.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Arndt, Nora Springs; three sisters, Phyllis Kelley and her husband Tom, of Nora Springs, Marlys Kramm of Nora Springs, and Peggy Majewski and her husband Jerry, of Evansdale; and two brothers, Ted Arndt Jr. and his wife Beverly of Nora Springs, and Bruce Arndt of Nora Springs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Arndt Sr.; one sister, Mary Lou; and one brother, Harold.
