SEAMAN RITES TO BE THURSDAY
NORA SPRINGS MAN DIES IN IOWA CITY; LEAVES WIFE AND ONE SONNora Springs, Sept. 20 – Ben Seaman, 60, died yesterday at the University of Iowa Hospital where he went three weeks ago for treatment. It was expected he would be able to return the latter part of this week to Nora Springs and return later to Iowa City. He succumbed to an attack of heart disease.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon at the Baptist Church, the Rev.A. A. Rideout of Charles City officiating. Burial will be here.
Surviving are his wife and son, Milton, a brother, I.M. Seaman, who is Mayor of Nora Springs, and a sister, Miss Harriet Seaman, a teacher in Mason City.

Benjamin Franklin Seaman was born September 4, 1873 in Iowa, the son of Benjamin Seaman and Lavinia (Williams) Seaman. (from WWI Draft Registration and 1925 Iowa Census).
He married Anna Barbara Gast, the daughter of Andrew Gast and Sarah (Heintz) Gast.
They were buried in the Park Cemetery, Nora Springs, Floyd, Iowa
