FORMER LAKE DRUGGIST SUCCUMBS IN ALGONA

Clear Lake, June 17 – William a. Hofmaster, Algona, died at 8 o’clock Sunday evening following an illness of 16 months. He suffered a stroke of paralysis in February 1929, and since that time has been bedfast. He died at the Joe Wadsworth home at Algona.

Mr. Hofmaster was formerly engaged in a drug store in Clear Lake. He leaves his wife, two brothers, four sisters, and his mother, Mrs. Emma Hofmaster, Nora Spring.

Funeral services will be held at Albona Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Joe Wadsworth home.

William Augustus Hofmaster was born August 8, 1879 in Iowa, the son of Augustus Hofmaster and Emma (Anthony) Hofmaster. (his birth date is from the WWI draft registration). He married Margaret (?).

His parents are buried in the Park Cemetery, Floyd Co., Iowa.
