Hugh Will Young – March 25, 1870 – December 11, 1936

FUNERAL FOR YOUNG OF ROCKFORD IS HELD

Rockford – Funeral services for Hugh Will Young, who died at the state hospital at Independence Friday, were held at the home of Mrs. Adam Young Sunday afternoon

The Rev. C. G. Fort was in charge of the service and burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Young was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Young and was born in Belfast, Ireland, March 25, 1870, and there he grew to manhood.

In 1892 he came with his widowed mother to America, settling immediately near Rockford where they farmed until 1916, when his mother died.

He lived in Manly for a short time, then returned to Rockford where he lived until August, 1930, when he suffered a mental breakdown and he was taken to independence.

He is survived by one brother, Charles, of this place besides a number of nieces and nephews.

His father, mother, one sister, Agnes, and four brothers, John, James, Adam, and William, preceded him in death.
