CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Beverly Hirsch, 72, of Charles City, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Hospice of North Iowa Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Funeral services for Beverly Hirsch will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at the Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Martha Bennett of West St. Charles Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the West St. Charles Cemetery, rural Charles City. Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m. Sunday and Monday an hour prior to the service.

Beverly Jean Perry Hirsch was born January 7, 1940, in Charles City, the daughter of Stanley and Marian (Klinetop) Perry. She graduated from Charles City High School and American Institute of Business. On July 23, 1961, she was united in marriage to Larry Hirsch in Mason City. Beverly was a bookkeeper prior to her marriage and subsequently held various jobs to help support the family. She was a member of West St. Charles United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Farm Bureau and Floyd County Porkettes. Beverly enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening.

Living family members include her husband, Larry Hirsch of Charles City; her three children: Jean Holthaus of Pella, Karla Meyer of Charles City, and Michael (Jeanne) Hirsch of Huxley; her seven grandchildren: Michelle Holthaus, Michael Holthaus, Jessica Hirsch, Tiffany Meyer, Brent Meyer, Meghan Hirsch, and Katherine Hirsch.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Duane Kevin Hirsch; and a brother, Lyle Perry.

The Hauser Funeral Home, in Charles City, 641-228-2323, is in charge of arrangements.
