PLAN RITES FOR MRS. GREEN, 89
SERVICES WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY IN NORA SPRINGS CHURCH

Nora Springs – Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church here for Mrs. Marian Green, 89, who died Monday night at her home here.

The Rev. R. H. Davies will be in charge with burial at the Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Green lived here for 25 years. She was the wife of J. e. Green, Civil War Veteran who died several years ago.

Surviving are her son, Ed of Humboldt, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

MRS. GREEN, 89 SERVICES HELD
NORA SPRINGS WOMAN MEMBER OF RELIEF CORPS AND W.C.T.U.

Nora Springs – Funeral services for Mrs. Marian Green, 89, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Robert Davies. Six members of the American Legion were pallbearers. Burial was in Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Green was born September 28, 1850 at East Canaan, New Hampshire, and died at her home here November 20th. She was married to James E. Green in 1867 in Mitchell. One son was born to them. Mr. Green died in January, 1931. He was a Civil War Veteran.

About 25 years ago, she moved to Nora Springs. She was a member of the Relief Corps of Mason City. For many years she was a member of the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union.

She is survived by her son, C.E. Green; one granddaughter, Mrs. Mildred Frank of Humboldt, two grandsons, Clifford of Faribault and Clarence of Sibley, three great grandsons, one great granddaughter, a brother and a sister now living in Texas.
