Mary Ann (Brower) Halstead – June 18, 1850 – January 1921

Marble Rock – The funeral of the late Mrs. Columbus Halstead was held at the home Wednesday and was in charge of Rev. L. W. Inman. Beautiful selections were sung by Mesdames George Barber and Charles Moore.

Mrs. Halstead who was formerly Miss Mary Ann Brower of Erie County, Pennsylvania, was born June 18, 1850 and was united in marriage to Mr. Columbus Halstead at her home in Pennsylvania on December 2, 1879.

They came to Marble Rock to establish their first home and have lived here ever since, with the exception of a year or so spent in Washington returning from there last July.

Mrs. Halstead has been a great sufferer for many years.

Mr. and Mrs. Trimble, their daughter; Mrs. Rob Beattie and children of Greene, attended the funeral. Mrs. Trimble is a sister of Mrs. Halstead.
