George Elmer Parker was born in Curren, Illinois September 9, 1887 and died after an illness of several weeks.

He came to Marble Rock eight years ago and has made this his home most of the time since. About a year ago his mother moved here and since that time this has been his permanent home. He was good and kind to his mother and will be greatly missed by her. He was a member of the Christian church and also a member of the I. O. O. F. Lodge.

He leaves to mourn his death, his mother, two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Scott of Marble Rock and Mrs. L. H. Dannerberger of Pleasant Plain, Illinois, and three brothers: Arthur and John of Marble Rock, and Earl of Pleasant Plain, Illinois.

The mother and Mr. and Mrs. Dannerberger were the only members of the family able to be at the funeral services, the rest of the members being ill with influenza. They sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved family and especially to the mother.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. G. Eaton Friday afternoon at the late home and the body laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery.
