Esta Marie (Sigler) Holtz – February 25, 1902 – August 15, 1997

CHARLES CITY -- Esta M. Holtz, 95, a resident of the Salsbury Baptist Home, formerly of 615 Fifth Ave., died Friday (Aug. 15, 1997) at the home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Larry Vallery and the Rev. Debra Lincoln officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Floyd.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hauser Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services.

Esta Marie Sigler Holtz was born Feb. 25, 1902, in LeRoy, Ill.

Survivors include a daughter, Colleen Scholle of Swaledale; two grandchildren; and a brother, LaVern, and a sister, Wonda Johnson, both of Charles City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandchild, three brothers and four sisters.

Memorials may be directed to the Heart to Home Hospice of Charles City.

Esta Marie Sigler was the daughter of Alonzo Sigler and Myrtle (Brittin) Sigler. She married Lee Holtz, the son of Zimri Holtz and Clara Estella (Schulte) Holtz.
