Myrtle Maybell (Brittin) Sigler – February 14, 1881 – July 8, 1964

Charles City – Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Grace Methodist Church in Floyd for Mrs. Myrtle Sigler, 83. She has lived five miles northwest of Charles City more than 50 years. She died Wednesday at the Cedar Valley Hospital where she had been a patient for the past six weeks.
Her husband Alonzo Sigler, died June 15, 1942. She was a member of the Grace Methodist Church in Floyd. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery at Floyd with the Hauser Funeral Home in charge.
Myrtle Maybell Brittin was born February 14, 1881 in McClain County, Illinois, the daughter of William and Mary Peavier Brittin. She was married to Alonzo Sigler in Illinois, May 10, 1900.
She is survived by two sons and five daughters; Clifford Sigler, Floyd; LaVerne Sigler, Charles City; Mrs. Lee Holtz, Charles City; Mrs. Charlotte Gray, rural Charles City; Mrs. Oliver Bonewitz, Rudd; Mrs. Gilbert Johnson, Floyd; and Mrs. Opal Canfield, Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by two sons; Martin, in 1957; Oliver, in 1921 and a daughter; Edna in 1929.
